Guy Stuart, Democratic Party chair, Martha Van Vleck, Karen Mohan, and Jimmie Rushing show some of the prepared baskets of individually wrapped healthy snacks placed in all 12 Burnet County Elementary and Jr. High teacher’s lounges. Thank you all volunteers! Marble Falls Canvasing 10/6/2024- Meadow Lakes- Block Walk The August social event at Wedding Oak was a success. Susan Criss SDEC CD 31 for Burnet County gave a great talk on the history of Democratic politics in Texas. We even had a lady of the young age of 64 showed up to register to vote, as she had never voted before, ever! She is now registered, and she even stayed for the entire meeting. Everyone attending had an opportunity to sign-up, and commit to doing something for this 2024 election. All the post cards were taken, and sign-up sheets to call and knock on doors were full or almost full. A wonderful and productive meeting. The sixty folks in attendance at the social were treated to home grown music and the ballad “We're Not Going Back Video” The Ice Cream Social in July was a HUGE Success with a full house to scoop and hear the latest BCDC news!

NEWS The truth behind school vouchers Expose of our current HD-19 Representative Ellen Troxclair- this version of episode 3 tells the specific local considerations of the voucher scam in TX House District 19. And exposes our current HD-19 representative for her position and actions on public education. She voted against raising the per student basic allocation to account for inflation, and then voted FOR private school vouchers. And when she speaks you might notice that it is actually Gov. Abbott's talking points coming out of her mouth. A true "party servant" in action. ACTIVATE. EDUCATE. MOTIVATE.
