The August social event at Wedding Oak was a success. Susan Criss SDEC CD 31 for Burnet County gave a great talk on the history of Democratic politics in Texas. We even had a lady of the young age of 64 showed up to register to vote, as she had never voted before, ever! She is now registered, and she even stayed for the entire meeting.
Everyone attending had an opportunity to sign-up, and commit to doing something for this 2024 election. All the post cards were taken, and sign-up sheets to call and knock on doors were full or almost full. A wonderful and productive meeting.
The sixty folks in attendance at the social were treated to home grown music and the ballad “We're Not Going Back Video”
BCDC Names New Treasurer!

Now all we need is money to count! Donations to the club at Act Blue- Burnet County Democratic Club -BCDC always appreciated.
We have five barn signs to put up around Burnet County. You may have these signs for free, if you have highway frontage on these roads Hwy 71, 281, 1431, or 29. The sign is pictured above with Carl Jones and we deliver!
Door Knockin' Made Easy
If you are planning to walk blocks for Democratic candidates, you will not be going alone and you will have training, handouts and information to share with those democrats that answer the door. The minivan app will guide you with a map and list of democrats' addresses. Door Hangers, pictured below, will be placed on doors when there is no answer. We will only be knocking on doors with registered democratic voters from the voter rolls. Get ready to knock on some doors- go to the mobilize link here.
